| Hi, My name is Calli Nickels. The weekend of April 24th & 25th 2010, my parents and I went to Statesboro Ga. and were the guests of the Southern Christian Sportsmen’s Devotional Group. They hosted us for a dream Fish weekend. Their Hospitality was wonderful, they cooked for us every meal, we stayed in a beautiful home and OH MY the fishing!!! We had so much fun! I caught more fish in that one weekend then I have all together in the last few years. I also caught the biggest fish I ever have… a 12# catfish. Not only was it the biggest fish I have caught it was my 1st catfish. They are so much fun and put up quite a fight. There was even a film crew there filming me so it is on tape! My dad caught a bass that was a little over 10#, his biggest bass, he said he had waited 44 years to catch one that big and his dream was now fulfilled. SO thank you to the SCSD group for that. I think perhaps the best part of the weekend, aside from relaxing, laughing, fishing, eating and having fun was that a group of men, Christian men, were willing to make a weekend fun for me. They cared about me, a girl they had never met, just because they want to help kids who have had a rough time. It was wonderful and I deeply enjoyed it. Sincerely grateful, Calli Nickels |
