3RD WEEKEND
AJ has Duchenne
Muscular Dystrophy
please KEEP AJ IN
YOUR PRAYERS! AJ is
great kid!!
Dear Mr. Claude
Thank you for all the stuff.  Thank you for taking me hunting.
Thank you for letting me ride the golf carts.  Thank you for
taking me fishing.  This is a weekend I will never forget.

Your Friend, AJ Scott

Dear Claude and SCSD,
My family and I are so honored that you chose AJ for a
Dream Hunt.  It is the generosity of folks like you that make
this world a better place.  This Dream Hunt was about more
than a trophy deer.  But a time of great fellowship, making new
friendships, and renewing old ones.  It was a weekend AJ and
I will never forget.  He is still talking about how much fun he
had. Thank you, thank you, and thank you for the generosity
you showed to my little man.  All the gifts are greatly
appreciated.  It is hard for me to put into words just how
grateful we are to have had this opportunity.  I appreciate
Blake Adams, Billy Lowe, Charles Cochran, Tim Durden,
Howard Tucker, Perry Hearn, and the men of Southern
Christian Sportsman Devotional for taking the time to come
out and make this weekend so special.  It is hard to deal with
seeing your son struggling to do things that other kids just do
without really thinking about.  As you saw, he does not let it
slow him down.  He can be a very determined little boy when
he wants to be.  Thank you for what you do for all these kids
that are sick.  It is a time for them to forget about their illness
and enjoy nature and all it has to offer.  I also want to express
my gratitude to John Wilson and his crew from Trophy Quest
for coming out and spending the weekend with us.  Even
though no deer was harvested, AJ & I really enjoyed hanging
out with John and his crew. The one thing that I ask of you is
that you continue to pray for AJ.  I know that my Lord & Savior
will equip the researches with what they need to find a cure.
Or he himself will heal him.  Again I must say thank you, and
your generosity is greatly appreciated. We were truly blessed
that weekend and continue to be from the experience.
Although thank you does not seem like enough we are truly
thankful!

Jerel, Pam, & AJ Scott

AJ’s Story
AJ is 8 years old. He is a third grader at Mill Creek Elementary
and attends Eastern Heights Baptist Church.  He enjoys the
same things that other 8 year old boys do.  Hunting, fishing,
baseball, football, & riding his 4wheeler.  Although AJ looks
healthy, he is not.  At age 4 he was diagnosed with Duchenne
Muscular Dystrophy.  DMD causes a progressive loss of
muscle function and independence.  He could be in a
wheelchair as early as ten.  Victims typically die from cardiac
or respiratory failure before age 20.  DMD is a genetic
condition that does not discriminate.  It is the deadliest of the
more than 40 Muscular Dystrophy’s.  And to date there is not a
cure.
